My name is Francesca, I was born in 1973 and have been drawing for as long as I can remember. Then, as often happens, life took other paths: technical studies, work, responsibilities... and drawing remained there, at the bottom of drawers, resting among the pencils.

During lockdown, something changed: I picked up paint again and let myself be guided by the simple pleasure of drawing. I discovered watercolor, with its lightness and unexpectedness, and from there a new way of telling the world was born: that's how Pallocchi was born.

Pallocchi are funny, sweet, and a little poetic. They speak with their eyes, because they have no mouth or nose—but they have a lot to say. They are my creative voice, and today they live on paper, ceramics, fabric, and in many objects that tell stories with a smile.
